How many have heard of this? Also what would you end up with??

I'm looking to build a nice powerful motor to push some other cars around! The motor will be backed by a c4 or c6 trans and a locked 9" with 4:10 gears.

Should I go with a built 289/302 or a 351w?

idk if you could do that, the pistons would have to be real short.just build a 351 windsor

The crank won't fit the block. 302/289 mains are smaller. You'd have to cut down the mains on the crank to 302 size. Not worth the headache.

Definitely wont work or if you did a gazillion dollars of machining it might (3" mains), but it for sure wouldn't be worth the trouble with the number of cheap stroker kits out there for a 302. If you're on a budget I'd just put a 351w in there, then you get a stronger block as well.

well I found out that the way the use to do the first few stroker motors backin the day. Looks like I will be doing either a 351 or even a 393 if I find the parts at a good enough price
