331 set up

I have a 331 lower end and was thinking of putting a set of trickflow heads ,x-cam and vic jr...has anyone have anything similar to that set up???if so is it any good????any suggestions....thanks

I have a 331 with dished pistons, afm b4 blower cam, ported trickflow highports. I just swapped my stock victor jr for a heavily worked over weiand xcelerator. With the victor on it I went 11.50`s. That is with a tight nitrous convertor also. With more compression, a better convertor, and a bigger n/a cam it probably would have went in the 10`s.
With the setup you mentioned yours should run just as well. My car is pretty heavy too so if yours is fairly light it should run good. Good luck!

Did you buy the exhaust off or me last summer?

yeah,i got the exhaust form you....i got the heads from bad 302 a couple years ago just putting project together finally...

idk but i got a stock headed 13.5 to 1 306 that went 10.60

4.30s should be ok if you are running n/a. If you plan on spraying it you would be better off with a 4.10.
I had a 4.56 in my car but it was too much for my combo. I would be maxed out just before the finish line. I swapped to a 4.10 so I could spray.

yeah he told me that the motor the heads were on put 643hp at rear tires with 5 pounds of boost!!!!hopefully i get half that at my rear tire!!!This is my first project...the exhaust is on car just just hanging waiting for me to drop motor in...
