302/t-5 backing plate?

i need the backing plate ( or spacer ) for a 302/t-5. the one i have now is not allowing the starter to sit correctly and is being a pita. lmk thanks.

thats what i was going to do, but wouldnt that throw off the starter to flywheel clearance? or would the two bolt holes serve as locators? seems like they should, i just didnt want to cause more issues

your bell makes sure your start is it the right location
just make the hole the right size for your starter

are you talking about the block plate is so I have like 5 or 6 of them
