275 record pass! drama drama drama

what kind of wizardry allows for a 275 tire + 1200+ HP with no wheelspin whatsoever?

I would say the car makes closer to 2,500 hp. Supposedly the car has some off the shelf UPR rear suspension. I would say the magic is in the tire (the 275 pro seems to have no limitation) and amazing track conditions. Radial tires surpassed slick technology 100% imop

Ya definitely at least 2,000hp anyways. That freaking thing MOVES! Could come up here and enter RWYB and go rounds lol

I just pulled the 1200 number put of my butt figuring it's be low...you really think those DRs are better than a Hoosier slick? Asking for a friend

We're going to find out on May 17th when I put Tim Johnston on the trailer :) lol I personally think the 275 is a better tire than a 28-10.5 slick on any surface. I personally went 1.2x 60' on a marginal track last season using a radial and my car is a turd compared to more serious efforts.

Damn' 1.2's! Wow. I've gotten 1.43 on a 17" DR marginal track and 1.45 in a stick car on a good track 15". Drag radials are awesome all the way down the track as well.

Seriously thinking about a set of MT pro radials. Specs are for an 8" rim but would a 10" work better? Big boys beadlock that shit and go wide on wheel correct?

The wider the wheel the better. The crazy fast guys are putting 275's on 12" wheels and bead locking them.
