Did you do a *228 and choose the option "update your roaming capabilities"? If not, do that.
If it still sucks, call Asurion back... they put a 1 year warranty on the phone and have to replace it for you.
 
We get the iphone in occasionally but are not an authorized AT&T dealer so we don't dabble with selling contracts and things.

Hey.. I've been working out deals with a few new warehouses.. hopefully by Monday I'll have those new prices.

Right now the best I can do on that phone without a contract is $239 and you still get a $50 mail in rebate too.
