2021-22 Lions thread

When I saw that touchdown pass from Stafford to Jefferson bounce off Jefferson's hands in the 4th quarter I thought I was watching the Lion's again. Glad I only watched the 4th quarter, and only because the Manning brothers were doing commentary on the deuce and Phil Rivers joined in.

Well it was an Int and it was returned for a TD.

Every QB has those the Bills got one on Mahomee like that it bounce off Cheetah's hands.

The word "Missed" might imply that I wanted to see it in the first place. Don't want to give the wrong idea! I did not see that play though.

Seems like Stafford is turning the Rams into the Lions - West Coast edition - for the last couple weeks at least. I will give him credit though, he was throwing mostly downfield. None of that two yards and a cloud of dust BS the he excelled at as the Lion's QB.

Yessir… I put $500 on the Rams to win the SB. Pays $7000.

My “cash out” option has gone from
Pre-season: $450
After Game1: $469
After Game2: $495
After Game3: $616

Vegas is shook right now. Watching the Chiefs struggle while the Rams have looked impressive has changed the narrative. Rams were +1400 to start the season. Now +800.

Their next 4 games are as follows
Cardinals 3-0
Seahawks 1-2
Giants 0-3
Lions 0-3

They are likely 7-0 a month from now.

Bumping for posterity. How much is that ticket worth these days?

I’ll be honest… I’m not worried one bit about Stafford and the INTs or where he’s at. Losing Woods was a huge blow. He is (BY FAR) the best #2 receiver in the league and an very undervalued asset. He’s a #1 receiver on almost every other team.

I’m also more than a little worried about the Rams inability to stop the run

She’s a psycho. God bless him for putting up with her shit. And she’s got a stupid podcast too. like anyone wants to listen to her rambling.

I heard Goff is OUT for Sunday! I think this is a case of "Might as well sit him because Boyle can't be any worse". Might as well try to lock that #1 pick at this point.

What’s funny is that a pretzel being thrown by anyone at a sporting event is newsworthy. I don’t care if it’s the wife of a high profile qb.

The Lions have 191 yards of passing in the last 2 games (including one that went the full OT)! [emoji2359][emoji23][emoji23]

So they have Denver (away), Arizona, Atlanta (away), Seattle (away) and Green Bay remaining? The possibility of winless is high.

I could not understand running the ball at midfield trailing 13-6 a whole bunch of false start and holding penalties later that drive ground to halt and went into reverse ;)

You would think you would play more aggressive on offence with nothing to lose.

Is the head coach still calling the plays? What the fuck is that about? This isn't Madden 21, let an actual offensive coordinator do his job.

Goff was 21 for 25 with 2 TDs. Can't blame this one on him.

LOL. Anybody can go 21-25 when you're throwing the ball 10'. This is from LionsWire

Goff has dinked and dunked his way to the lowest average pass yards per completion in the league. His completed passes travel an average of just 3.33 yards beyond the line of scrimmage, per the NFL’s statistical data. That’s 33rd out of 33 qualifying passers, just below Atlanta’s Matt Ryan (3.37).

Note that the figure is different from the average yards per completion that is more commonly used. Goff averages 9.3 yards per completion there, but that figure includes yards after the catch gained by the receiver. The 3.33 is the distance of the actual completed throw, on average.

It’s not that Goff doesn’t have time to throw the ball down the field. The Lions offensive line gives Goff enough protection that he ranks 10th in total time to throw, 2.88 seconds on average per Next Gen Stats.

So is he padding his stats? Boy that sounds familiar I just can't place it. A Lion's QB putting up good numbers as the team loses...

I don’t see how they can even steal one of those games, even though the Falcons aren’t a great team, they’ve managed to get some wins.
