2021-22 Lions thread

dude your obsession with Stafford is not healthy. You’re like a stalker. Like that Eminem Stan song. I could give two fucks about the Lions or Matt Stafford. But your obsession and infatuation with him is really scary. Maybe go out and get laid or something.

It's to the point I just skip past his posts. Blowing the guy every which way possible. Gives him 100% of the credit there but 0% of the blame here. It's incredible.

Anyways, since this is a LOLions thread:

It sucks to see them lose week after week, but this is exactly where we thought they would be. They just have to preserve their mental through this low point. We're going to see 20 new players on this team in the next 2-3 years. We can't really judge this coach or GM and the staff until year 3.

Until then, keep losing for those draft picks.

You have to ignore because you can’t argue that I was wrong and you’re incapable of admitting I was right. Without Stafford, since the injury/trade, they’ve lost 14 straight games. The last 6 with a recent #1 overall draft pick at QB.

Stafford currently has the best overall QBR in the league while playing in the best division. He outperformed and his team won against the defending SB champs and Tom Brady, the GOAT.

But, you’re right, this is a Lions thread. Who do the Lions play this week?

So if the Lion's had Stafford they would be 5-1 right now? Yea, didn't think so, and that is why trading him was a great decision. Congrats to Stafford for getting on a team with some talent. He is definitely positioned to make a run in the post-season. I hope he does well! If I didn't have Covid I would be in LA for the game this week.

As for the Lions, they have a few years of good draft picks coming, so hopefully we don't draft three tight ends three years in a row as our 1st round pick (again), and get some real talent. The complete lack of talent on the Lion's roster right now is on full display, and could make them the first team to go winless for the season twice.

Nah, they wouldn’t be 5-1 with him. More like 3-3 or 4-2. They are around a .500 team with him. But, the last 14 games show what they are without him.

Goff throws a nice check down ball though. I’ll give you Lions fans that. Particularly when down 2 scores and in Lions territory with under 2 min to go [emoji23]

Guess which three of my FanDuel entries had Stafford for QB?! [emoji23]

Y’all talk. I put my money where my mouth is.

Tom Brady hit 600 TDs today in his 21st year at QB

Stafford hit 300 today in his 13th year.

He probably won’t catch Brady (because Brady is the undisputed GOAT)…. but he’s on pace to be somewhere around Top 5 of all time. Top 10 easy

And y’all still want to talk shit. Look at this list through 13 years…. See any guys on here who are going to be adding to their totals going forward!? Matt Ryan might add a couple. Rodgers might add more than a couple. But Stafford has the potential to add A LOT in the next 4-5 years.

No offense Mike, I like Stafford, but are you seriously bragging about his stats? I mean, even when he was with the Lions he put up great numbers. The only difference now is that he is on a good team. He has still NEVER won the big game - and yea he has only had the one chance, but he didn't deliver. That is what is going to matter.

Stafford is 1-1 against the two playoff bound NFC teams he has faced this year (and even Goff beat Tampa last year with the Rams). Brady and Aaron Rogers will be there in January waiting for Stafford, and those guys have both been there done that. Stafford is on a good team, but I think his stats with them only prove how good the Rams are, not how good Stafford is. I hope he does well, but looking at the playoff picture for the NFC, which is pretty much set at this point, the Rams are going to have three tough games just to get to the super bowl. And that is where we will find out just how good Stafford is.

See, the thing is, certain people thought that Stafford was the problem and that the Lions were better off trading him or drafting another QB (because that’s so easy). As of now, with a real team around him, he’s playing better than anybody in the league

And yes, the playoff road looks tough, but we shall see.

BTW… Goff put up 20 and 22 TD passes under center for this Rams team the past 2 years. Stafford is already at 19
