Caldwell watching this lions season.....

I’m sure some people here will talk shit... but I was against firing Caldwell from way back. I’m not even interested in rehashing it, but I pointed out the average win/loss ratio of the last 4-5 coaches over almost 20 years (and something like a 5-11 average) and mentioned how insane it was to fire a guy who got them to the playoffs 2 out of 4 years and had an overall career average winning record... for a dude who, lets be honest, wasn’t all that impressive... the Pats were never a top defensive team.

But hey, he was the sexy choice apparently,

Pivitol moment in the game, Stafford puts the ball on ground. But hey, it could always be worse!!

That was the most Lions thing they could do, and will do. They’ll win a bunch of meaningless games down the stretch and torpedo their draft stock. And of course we’ll hear how great Stafford is in garbage time.

Considering this is a team with a previous 0-16 record, if they end up 5-11 it doesn't seem that bad. Ya see it's all relative...

I wonder who they will bring in to replace JBC, considering he was the only guy Stafford wanted to work with. You know he's getting blown out after this season.

I agree, the play calling was horrible. I think they needed to throw the ball down field more. The Buffalo secondary was as bad as Detroit's. Maybe Stafford really is injured to the point where he can't make that many deep throws?

I missed the game, can someone explain why the Lions went for a 2 point conversion, or was it merely a bad snap from center the aborted the extra point kick?

Bad snap, but they missed a field goals in the 40's later on in the game.

Are you guys watching MNF?

Say what you will about Stafford... I’m sitting here watching the Panthers driving down for a TD before the end of the half. 30 seconds left, Cam Newton runs 7-8 yards for a key first down.... and then spends 8-9 seconds marching forward and making the “First Down” motion and then bumping and jawing with the defense while the clock is running, forcing his the coach to call a timeout.
