2016 Lions thread........discuss or discust?

Are we forgetting the Cowboys play the Lions next Monday?

Not at all, but the most likely scenario is that the Lions and Green Bay will be battling for a playoff spot in the final game of the season.

Can't look past the Cowboy's though. Winning that game would go a long way to helping secure a playoff birth.

Pro-Bowl selections have been made, no starters from the Lions, but alternates are: Stafford, Slay, Prater, and Sam Martin. Feel free to read between the lines..........

The pro-bowl selections people didn't listen to the analyst about how swell Stafford is.

Those two words, For Christmas mean nothing. Unless you read that to mean he adopted them, like literally adopted them.

My thoughts exactly. I emailed randy Wembley on his faulty use of the word adopt. If Stafford Actually offered to adopt his kids, then I would be impressed.

I hate these petty stories of celebs and athletes around the holidays. Seem very self serving and come off as attention seekers. "Hey look at me. I gave some gifts to people less fortunate than me. Make sure it gets on TV". Comes off shallow.

Classy tax write off.... when you make 30 million a year, either you give 15 million to the IRS or "donate" your money via media so you look like a super hero and pay less taxes.

Sorry but this is something a loser says about this situation, especially at Christmastime. Get some perspective.

Haha you too with the name calling? It's Like we're dealing with 5th graders growing hair around there genitalias
You don't think these guys sit with there accountants and they tell there clients that if they don't donate this much cash you gotta cut a check to the IRS for this much? THEN they hand them a LIST of charitable funds they can donate to for a write off and how much they need to donate..
My fucken accountant does it to me! Either I cut a check to the IRS or go shove some cash here and there so you don't have to pay them...
That's the bottom line like it or not... celebrities just get extra credit cause they can look like heroes helping the community..

I never follow the thinking when people say this. If someone donate money, lets say $10000.00, they get to write off that $10000. If they are in a 50% tax bracket, that means they dont pay 5000 in taxes....so they didnt save money. Worst case is you can say they ONLY donated $5000 and the government donated the rest. If there is some magical tax writeoff on charity that puts more money in your wallet after you donated money, please tell me what is is, ill be donating my entire check every week.
