2016 Lions thread........discuss or discust?

Remember folks - Lions win, its all Stafford.

Lions lose, its everyone *but* him.

I never said that.

Dude gets the team almost 70 yards on a single perfect throw and they immediately fumble the ball into the end zone. Stupid.

2 question i need answers too

1) How many points/touch downs did (the elite) Stufford have?
2) How many points did the "kicker" put up?

Well the only stat that matters to me coming out of todays game is that the Lions are now 0-20 (if my memory serves me correctly) on the road against teams with a winning record under Matt Stafford.

Defense played well enough to win. Offense just didnt get it done.

Yes, the offense. Not one guy.

OBJ makes an unreal one-handed catch to get the TD that puts the game away.

Zenner throws the ball into the end zone and says "here you guy fellas!" on what should have been a TD.

That's the difference.

Right, not one guy. But he leads the offense, and 6 points is pretty anemic. Had they won you guys would be on here crowing him and giving him all the credit. Lets not kid ourselves.

Again, 0-20 in these games. Thats what matters. They've had a great season, Stafford has looked great, but its all for naught if they don't start winning this big games against good teams.

How about the punt return that got called back. Special teams fell asleep.

Edit: and the pack just won. Rodgers with another Hail Mary for a FG setup to win

I will give you this, but again, the fact it was 6 points wasn't on him. It should have been more. He put them in position for an easy score and they gave it away in the end zone. Same as the ball hitting a receiver in the face in the end zone and becoming an INT. But that won't stop the miserable haters around town from claiming it's Stafford's fault they didn't get a TD.

Didn't they just go into Minnesota and beat them while they were like 5-1?

They also beat Green Bay at Lambeau just last year.

Yeah

Pretty pathetic, the way people root against their home team simply to justify their misery and give them something to be bitter about.

anybody? anybody? anybody?

Did you watch the game? Did you see the pics in this thread? Did you see Ebron drop a sure first down in the red zone that hit him in the chest? Here it is again, since you "anybody? anybody'ed?" your way right past it.

That's why they kicked a field goal on that drive. The next drive, Zenner fumbles it away and they don't score there.

Serious question... do you watch the games... or just look at the box score?

No I want to Lions to win. I watch every single game, I go to games, I spend my disposable income at Ford Field. I really do want them to make a run.

But some of us look at things objectively. I thought today's game would be a good barometer of how they stack up against a quality opponent, next weeks also.

I saw the defense play well enough to win, I didn't see that from the Stafford lead offense. I give him credit when credit is due, I have been all season. But today he deserves his share od the blame for the loss. 0 TD's, 1 INT.

Lets see how they do on MNF in Dallas.

Fair enough.

But you're one of the few who has been reasonably objective here. A few others with limited grasp of the nuances of the game would rather see the Lions lose than be wrong.

PS. Aaron Rodgers didn't throw a single TD today. "0" points. Crosby kicked 3 FGs. So yeah, the kicker had more points than the QB.

Do you think their "fans" are running around calling Mason Crosby the real MVP of the team?!

PS.

Gostkowski has 3 FGs and an extra point. He had 10 points. Brady has no TDs, no points.

Conclusion? Brady sucks. That's the logic around here, right guys?
