2015 Journey U Connect navigation issue

Friend at work, just past the warranty!

He can’t update, he said live navigation kinda works but not detailed, street names etc..
All old destinations and info still function.

Is there a easy fix???
 
He said it’s actually saying no data found with live map, shows the map and him but no streets etc..
He looked up info about the disc but is not sure if it’s the fix or a waste of 120 bucks, any input or similar experience?
 
My wife had to have her radio replaced in her 2015... dealer told her the 15's had a problem that 16 and later does not have... they covered it under warranty and updated it ... expensive fix.
