2014 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour

I feel like a completely inadequate picture taker right now.

That black Buick rag top looks fucking amazing. What makes it go? I feel like the answer is probably an LSX but I want it to be powered by some insanely built old Buick motor.

LOL at the turbo Maverick with the 2.3 badge on the fender and the Cleveland(?) under the hood. I was actually kind of disappointed it wasn't some insane Huber inspired 2.3L though.

The Vista cruiser and Nova wagon both also look awesome. know what size the wheels on the nova are? They look huge but even 16" steelies on Chevy IIs look gigantic as i've seen on others before.

The Maverick is a 460

lol.

They had a conglomerate of vehicles under the same tent; Lingenfelter, RideTech, and Baer Brakes.

I'm not sure why they threw that decal on there, maybe Lingenfelter teamed up with RideTech to do the suspension on it. It was right next to the RideTech Tent which was at Lingenfelter's Tractor Trailer.

There is a Lingenfelter/Ridetech tie that goes back to the days of Ridetech being Air Ride. After a scandal during a different Hot Rod sponsored event, apparently Air Ride was banned from advertising in Hot Rod ever again. Thus, Ridetech was born so they could again advertise in the largest aftermarket car publication.

In other words, all that makes sense to me and it is something I don't believe is very widely known.

"After a scandal during a different Hot Rod sponsored event" I need more details about this.. now you've piqued my interest...

To bad The Power Tour didnt come thru the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas area this year. I was looking forward to going again this year. Which would have made three years in a row. Oh well maybe Ill join the cruise next year in my Mark VII LSC ;-)
