2014 - 15 Lions Discussion Thread

Just having the chance to go into the final game of the season playing for a division title is fun, regardless of what happens.

All I know is the season tickets were a good time at Ford Field this year.

Agree 100%, I went to one losing game this year, having sat through 0-16 and having almost our entire section empty seeing Ford Field jumping this year is an awesome sight.

If I came across as complaining that wasn't the intent. I expect the lions to fall apart, when they don't i'm not sure how to react :)

This is our 10th year with season tickets and after how last season ended I had decided if they didn't make the playoffs this year we were not renewing.

They can only play the games on the schedule, I'm not going to hold that against them. I'm good with 11-5 if that's where they end up. I don't think they're a great team but I feel they're pretty decent and the defense is damn good. At what point are you satisfied? Is it Superbowl or bust?

Look at the history of this team they're lousy, this is a GREAT season for this team.

If they get past 1st playoff game I'm on board. :)

Also, I'd like to remind people, that if it weren't for one of the most hilariously awful one-man kicking disasters in NFL history, the Lions would have beat the Bills, who are 8-7 as well, and would be 12-3. Henery blew 3 FGs including a chance to win the game and Buffalo hits a 58 yarder to win. Lions' sweet kicking game was 0-6 from a yardage the entire rest of the NFL was hitting at 100%. Now THAT was SOL, but luckily they managed to recover. Sucks because if they had managed to get any remotely competent kicker, we would have a division title wrapped up and a great shot at a 1 seed.

Agree 100%.

I was going to mention that... but figured the haters would bring up the ATL game and say that was luck (it was) and that they should be 10-5 instead...

I'm convinced no lions fan will ever be happy.

They are in the playoffs. They've won 11 games. Theyve been somewhat enjoyable to watch/listen to play and you guys still complain.

Bunch of females. Never happy.
:werd:

I been a Lions season ticket holder for a few years now... This year has been the most fun ever to tail gate and go to home games... People same same Ole Lions, but how the fuck are they when the Lions are going into a division match...

Lions managed to blow another game,so they are the same ol Lions after all. I had to teach my 4 year old the meaning of frustration, so we watched most of the game today until I couldn't take any more.

Lions are a good qb away from being a legit contender. I imagine Dallas will make short work of this team

Inflated regular season....exposed easily by GOOD teams.....another "same 'ol" effort with the same weaknesses at the QB position.

They need an offensive line more than anything. Even if they had Romo or Rodgers they would still have issues.

Anybody who thinks Stafford is a problem is an idiot. He's not the best QB in the league, but he's in the Top 10. So criticizing Stafford, whats your gameplan? You think the Lions are somehow going to score Rodgers/Brady/Brees/P.Manning? No? Of course not. Seriously, provide a solution to what you think is the problem. If you think the problem is at QB, what is your suggestion for improving it? Got nothing? I suspected as much. Stupid

Stafford is BY FAR the best QB that the Lions could ever reasonably hope to have under center. By far.

Well that sucked!

Hate to say it but Stafford cost them the game but in my opinion, he will always be an average quarterback - middle of the pack not great and not terrible.

Onto Dallas we go, yeah it saved me some money but I would have loved to see a home playoff game - maybe next year.

Oh and as far as providing a solution, I don't have one - Stafford is here for the long haul, he is only 26 lets hope he makes some improvements next year.

How did they "manage to blow another game?". They went into Lambeau, almost universally acknowledged as the very definition of homefield advantage... And lost by 10. They were down by 14, battled back to tie, had some unfortunate bounces and calls and lost to the Packers on the road. After beating the Packers at home.

They are 11-5 and going to the playoffs.

Maybe you should just quit being a Lions fan and root for the Harlem Globetrotters or some other team that always wins

For once we agree.....

In short, fuck the Lions, and especially that piece of shit Suh......I've always been a Packers fan, but never a Lions hater. But after yet another intentional attempt to hurt an opposing player.....Wtf? What a classless piece of human garbage he is. What's it gonna take to reign this asshat in?

How many times did you see Stafford lob the ball to completely open field? Not including when he was under pressure? Now how many times did you see a hamstrung Rodgers do the same? Stafford is decent, but he's not going to lead this team to a SB any time soon. And your attempt to copy my post where I call you an idiot for wanting Hoke over Harbaugh is a joke. Come up with your own material.

You people saying that Stafford sucks... maybe you would prefer that your starting QB was

Jay Cutler?
Geno Smith?
Blake Bortles?
David Carr?
Matt Schaub?
Teddy Bridgewater?
Ryan Tannehill?
David Carr?
Jake Locker?
Andy Dalton?
Kyle Orton?
Brian Hoyer?
Mark Sanchez?
Colt McCoy?
RG3?
Kirk Cousins?
Josh McCown?
Charlie Whitehurst?
Zack Mettenburger?
Austin Davis?

Do ANY of these guys sound like a better option than Stafford?

Copying you is literally the last thing on earth that I would ever aspire to do
