We desperately need a bounce back win today against the Angels... Can't allow yourself to get swept. Yesterdays game was obviously awful in the 1st inning and the team looked like they gave up after that. First game of this series is the one that really pissed me off. Gotta start hitting better with RISP, that first game was absolutely unacceptable. We should have had AT LEAST 3 runs by the 4th inning.

On a side note Porcello isn't a good fit for this team at all. He's a pitch to contact ground ball pitcher and the biggest weakness of our team is infield defense. Mostly range problems not actual fielding and throwing, but still that makes him a bad fit in my opinion. Rick hasn't looked good at all since the season started, I'd rather have Smyly starting in the 5th spot. He has strikeout capability and that's what all MLB teams want in their rotation. Porcello has no strikeout pitch and can't put guys away.

Oh yeah I agree. I wouldn't have sent Coke back out for that 3rd inning if I was the manager, but I'm not. One thing I'm worried about is V Mart. He hasn't looked good yet all season and it seems like he can't catch up to any fastballs. That's a bad sign.
On a side note I was very happy to see that great performance by Alburquerque. he looked amazing.

I sure hope so, Porcello is garbage. He looked good in spring because he was going up against half minor league lineups in limited innings. Not to mention he has no put away pitch and he's a ground ball pitch to contact pitcher and infield range is the weakest part of our whole team. It's just a bad fit and I don't think he's very good anyway.

Well, he pitched at good game. I thought he could have finished the 7th Inning. By Smyly was lights out. I hope they sweep them tomorrow.

Well, the Braves sweep happened. Infante has been really hot lately and Miggy is just an animal at the plate. I was glad to see Victor hitting some balls hard again also.

I had a feeling before this series started that we would score a good amount of runs. We faced their 3 best pitchers, but their numbers were better than they really are in my opinion. I felt like it was inevitable that they would get hit hard soon.

Looking ahead I think it's very possible we sweep this next series against Minnesota Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We have Scherzer, Verlander, and Sanchez going, enough said there. That's a shut down lineup of pitchers for Minnesota to deal with.

Great game tonight. Another 10 K's by Scherzer in a little over 7 innings and a clutch pop by Fielder. With K.C. losing tonight, it's back to 1st place.

Yeah man another solid game, Smyly looked sharp also in relief last night. I'm heading down to Comerica to see JV's start tonight.
The game Dirks had last night was good to see also, hope he can keep it rollin now that his knee is healthy.

I'm VERY comfortable with Fister and Scherzer in that series, but I still maintain that Porcello is a below average starter. Being paired with our slow infield just makes him even less effective. Smyly would be my 5th NO DOUBT if I were making the lineups.

Fifth win in a row. A typical Verlander win. The Royals are winning too. I don't think they are going away.

It raining during the game between KC and Tampa. There can't be more than 500 people in the stands in KC.
