Anyone have the ability to turn of an "Airbag" dash light?

I while back I swapped the whole interior over from a wrecked car into this car.
(From police Interceptor Cloth buckets and rear vinyl seats over to Leather with full center console)

Car I got the leather interior from was in an accident and is now throwing a code after swap. So in short my car has not been wrecked and all seats are mint with no airbag's showing have been deployed.

Again, anyone know how I can get it turned off? Everyone directs me to the dealer. I don't really want to take it there being the car is fin just with a swapped interior.

Thanks (East Side Macomb)

My understanding is, if the airbag light is on,
there is no working airbag system currently
in your car.

My guess is the your car is reading the wrecked cars
accident code, from the airbag components (from
the interior components).

Another possibility is the new interior components
are not compatible with your cars airbag system.

A simply reset may not do the trick. Some components
may have to be replaced because it was in an accident
or because its not compatible.

First step is getting the codes read from the airbag module to see what is triggering the light.

You need a diagnostic scanner that can read the individual modules in the vehicle, the ODB cheaper scanners won't do that.

It sounds like it is something with the seat airbag's or seat belts causing the issue.

I checked my parts software. The passenger seat airbag is different on a manual seat than the passenger seat. That may be the cause.

If that is the case then a module reprogram will be necessary and you would either need to go to the dealer or find somebody with the ford software that also pays for the up-link subscription.

Did the seat belt tensioners get set off on the accident seats?
I honestly do not know.

Thank you for the info Darko
