I don't know why Dodge insists on using RED for all of the press releases for this car.

Black... grey.... white... hopefully the same blue color from the last gen...all are gonna be HOT

I think it looks nice. The current SRT8 chargers looks nice, but the current base model charger is one of the ugliest cars I've driven past. Its amazing what a set of wheels and a small ground effects package can do!

I've seen a few test mules out on I75 and wasn't impressed. It looks cheap with the ground effects and i don't like the side view. Only thing about it i honestly like is from the front fenders forward.

ditching the 507hp V10 for a twin turbo V8. the F10 M5 will be introduced in frankfurt soon and many are speculating that the king will remain on his throne.

Not digging it, really. I REALLY dislike the wheels on this car. The rear, tack-on decklid spoiler looks cheap and doesn't fit. Car would probably look better without it though I'd like to see it like that first before I decide. The front view is pretty good. I like the aggressiveness of it. Reminds me of hte big openings on the front end of the new Audis that I saw at the autoshow.

Overall, I would much rather have a new SHO.

It has alot of go pack R/T 1969 ish styling add ons, including the reverse door scoops. I think it looks pissed off. I like a car that looks pissed off. I agree on ditching the rear spoiler. I saw a new body style charger at the dealer yesterday and I liked it just fine without the tachy spoiler. Other then that, it looks like its going to kick your ass, which is awesome how chdrysler styling manages to pull off the psuedo facial exspression on styling cues.

Though I love BMW's and hope to own one one day....What does this have to do with the new Charger?

I'm just pointing out the Chrysler still can't compete. I just chose the M5 because I'm a BMW nutswinger. There is the V, the AMG, the M and the S. If you look at more than straight line times, Chrysler can't hang....still.
Maybe volvo's R line, but I think that might walk on the charger from an overall point of view. I wish better for the car, but ive seen this before. Props to GM for the CTS V (sans the coupe. That shit is god awful). Ford needs to step up their game nOw. :)
I said it. There is more to life than cubic inches. :)

You are comparing cars that cost 20-50 thousand more dollars than the Charger. Of course it isn't going to compete with them.

I dont like it one bit, it just looks so godamn huge. Its gonna weigh prob 4200lbs and get 14mpg, all while handling like crap and having Chrysler interior. Pass.

I would buy a year or two old CTS-V in a millisecond over the SRT-8, and as a matter of fact I like the prev gen better.

But besides that, you love it right?

Exactly! lol

Ok, I love the brakes, how about that? Altho since it weighs the same as 2 C5's it still wont stop any good. haha

you're right. i just think it's a shame that they choose not to compete. because let's be honest, they have the ability to do so. instead they choose to build something inferior.

i agree with joestang 100%.

i want to add to that, because i may have sounded a bit harsh. for what the car is, i think it's very good, and quite cool to boot. however, i think there is potential wasted. it's good, but it could have been so much better. aside from the exterior (which i still don't like), it's a pretty nice package for the price. :) i'm not a complete hater, although i'm sure i sound like it 99% of the time. haha.

You are basing all that on speculation that the car will handle like a pig. Until it's tested, no one knows how it will handle.
Once the ZF transmissions are geared up for Chrysler, I think they will have a very solid car....and after owning a "newer" BMW, I will never buy into how great they are. They make everything on the car from plastic to keep weight down, and they use the most craptastic plastic ever. I have never seen so many parts fail on a car. I mean seriously, the grilles on these cars fall out constantly. Cooling system has to be completely replaced every 50-60k. Trunk lift lip rips off the cars with normal use. Tail light wiring melts from using the smallest gauge wires they could find. Vanos unit(valve timing) need rebuilt because BMW used the cheapest gasket they could find. Just garbage.
