2011 Regal...NOM NOM!

SHO's are also big and fat. i wish someone started making a 2500lb car again. that would be ideal.

i have that same 2.8 turbo in my saab, its ok but i think that the 4cly ecoboost is a great option same power and weights less then the v6 and those 4cly can make alot of power. I had a older gs with the 3.8sc that had some grunt but this 2.8 turbo cant hold a candle to that 3.8 ..... but in the same sense the older gs didnt handle for shit and plowed terrible when pushed, but the 2.8 turbo being all aluminum it can be pushed a bit harder and not plow anywere near as bad. The first year or so of production is going to be coming from oversea's then it will be made in usa. The 2.8 turbo has some potential but alot of people knock that 4cly but i think its just as good of a option honestly

I just saw that they dropped the awd and revised it's 0-60 (gs) to >7 sec rather then 6 seconds, and I'll pass.

What a waste, now it's another tepid fwd wondersedan. I REALLY want a nice awd/rwd 4 door family sedan that us branded (and not 40k, a-la SHO), but damn if these domestic product idiots don't keep ruining products that sound perfect.
GM isn't capable of out acura-ing Acura. Stop trying an make your gran SPORT sporty. FWD is fail.

The car looks fine, but a measly 220-250 HP in a 3,700 pound front-wheel drive sedan is -not- sporty.

To compete in that class (Ford SHO) it needs AWD and another 100 HP.

You have to figure its going to put down around 280whp and 330 ftlbs with a tune. Just like the Cobalt SS T/C there are HUGE gains in that engine. With those numbers and 3700lbs I think it'd be interesting from a highway roll against the SHO. The SHO would still probably win but the regal is MUCH cheaper and has 2 cylinders less. I've rode in Livernois' SHO enough to tell you I think its worth the money, but not everyone can afford a 45k car. I know they start at blahblah, I don't want the base model without carpet if I'm buying something new I'm getting the big bitch. Loaded Regal is 32-33k.

Saw a few driving around, I'm not a fan of the rear end but its growing on me. I think it'd look really nice with my same tint and some debadging. I won't buy one unless they do AWD though.

wait for the GS..

I work at a Buick and Caddy dealer. the turbo is fast and it's built for E-85 from the factory (bigger fuel pump and injectors from the factory than the SS) BTW, E-85 + a tune= 1 happy turbo 4

Hopefully GM doesn't have their head up their ass when they price the GS. I will LOL if its the same as what a SHO starts at. Ecoboost> Ecotec for same money.

I don't know if the turbo AWD is available to the public yet. I did this at work over at the tech center one day. I do know if it isn't available yet, when production is moved to Oshawa this spring then it should be around then. Until then, its just a matter of what we get on the boat from across the pond.

I think you drove a FWD one. The 2012 GS is still FWD and the guy in the expensive suit said Buick have no plans of offering AWD, but he did PROMISE me their engineers eliminated torque steer in the GS! :lmao:
