2011 Mustang vs. 2011 BMW M3

haha they still give the win to the M3 even though its a shock change away from slaughtering it...oh well.

Id still rather have the 25k in my pocket

They didnt give it to the M3, it was just faster..a tiny bit. They seemed to favor the Mustang IMO.
 
Nice, but you aren't going to see too many BMW guys switching to Mustangs. :lol:
 
The braking is what really impresses me. That Brembo package is a frickin steal. I assume the GT had the 373 gears also.

And while they did complain about the shocks in the GT, I'll bet the Mustang handles regualr roads a ton smoother than the M3. Not saying it REALLY matters, but not every road is smooth as glass, and a poor riding car does get old if its your DD. Ask me how I know.
 
The Mustang is one hell of a car. It's very hard to like anything else after being in a 3 series with some power however. That being said. I have yet to drive a 5.0 mustang and feel all the goodness. I'm sure it is night and day compared to the 2003 GT I had at one point. Has anyone on the board been able to drive both yet?
 
Excellent. I've ridden in Shaun's car more than once and thta thing is a monster. I'd like to see an M3 set up like his car and see a comparison. You're going to have fan boys on both sides like they said, but really, the BMW guys may be classier, but the Mustang guys will still have money to spend. What a cool comparison for a change. Thumbs up Motor Trend!!
 
Thats incredible. Ford should do a little tweaking and make a model to smoke the M3....the shelby is just too heavy.
 
They already did, the Boss 302. They even proudly proclaimed they beat an M3 around Laguna Seca with a special edition of the special edition :lol: Leave it to Mustangs.

for $25,000.00 more, it should be a helluva car, and it is.

change the shocks on the mustang and redo the race.
however, this is the Top of the line BMW M3, versus a mustang Gt. Seems like the Mustang needs a top of the line model to compete with the M3, otherwise, compare it to the BMW 3 series.
