2011 LOLions predictions

The saving grace before the bye is getting Denver and Tim Tebow. They have enough talent to beat the Broncos with a back up.

I was hoping for 8-8 or 9-7 at the beginning of the season. I think that will still happen. Come on, did anyone really think they would continue at the pace they were on?

Not a Lions fan here..
Since 2008 the Lions won 13 games and lost 42...
Stafford still can't complete a play unless he's in the shotgun position.. No running game what so ever.. Stefan Logan has to be the worst "Return Specialist".. Way too many penalties every game... Schwartz never takes blame for anything...

Tebow is the SAVIOR. He will WILL Denver to win. He can do no wrong. Haven't you learned that yet?

I hope Suh and Avril rip Tebow in half. I'm really tired of him.

As far as the bandwagon fans go, we saw them first-hand at the game. We had people next to us leave 2 minutes INTO the 3rd quarter and said on their way out "we've had enough of this BS." LOL And these were lower bowl 50 yard line tickets.

At least 40-50% of the crowd left when the Lions missed the 4th and 10 at the end even though there was 1:20 to go and they had three timeouts (and nearly forced a punt if they could have wrapped up Turner or whoever carried the ball the last play).

They just gave Atlanta too many short fields and then could only muster FGs on their own red-zone trips.

Same problems we already knew they had. O-line not good enough, no run game, too many giveaway penalties.

Tough schedule the rest of the way out. Still on pace for 9-7. Sucks because they gave two winnable games away.

now this is the same ole lions, put the kool aid down boys, its gonna be a long year..

^ Word.........it has all been a trick up to this point.

Truth.......
I bought into the hype and attended the last two home games, same old stuff that I've seen over the last 10 years or more. No imagination on offense, run on first down every time. Stafford holding the ball way too long. Hell, 1.5 secs at most yesterday and the ball was out of Ryans hand.

I wish we had the Panthers back at the Silverdome. This town could stand another pro football team.

Two of Ryan's passes also ended up in Detroit's hands so he wasn't much to desire either!

There was also a play where Stafford had the first down with his legs and he pulled up and floated a pass 10 yards past our deepest receiver which hurt us. It was a ton of little plays that all added up. I wasn't impressed with Atlanta whatsoever. Then again, Green Bay even looked mortal yesterday against 1-5 first start for a rookie Minnesota.

I agree last two games the same, little plays adding up, but Atlanta did do just enough to get the "W". Again, defense doing somewhat Ok, but offense & special teams sputtering. Stafford was taking forever to pass the ball and then as you said overthrowing receivers. I'm a glutton for punishment and will be watching a replay of the game later this week, just to see what I missed by being at the game. We really could not hear some of the penalty calls and this knucklehead decided he just had to leave the row right at the start of play when Megatron scored. I told him about that shit when he returned, this row this week was really active. And two dweebs showed up near the end of the third quarter and did not talk or comment during the game and left with 3 minutes to go in the game. I'll never understand that, what then is the purpose for attending a live event if you're not going to stick it out?

Hell, bet those fans who left the MSU/Wisconsin game are kicking themselves, cuz you know some left.

6-2. Teams that aren't legit don't beat bad teams asses like the Lions do.

Team is good, just needs to plug a few more holes.

Happy for results today, but where was that team the last two games? I'm still miffed cuz they lost them when I could attend. Gonna go to the Carolina game in three weeks, hope todays team shows up.

Variety of issues, Stafford wasn't on point namely. He was absolutely on point today and Lions pass defense is among tops in the league, which should make things interesting with a boatload of passing teams coming up. Got most of the strong rushing teams out of the way thankfully, although some (Min, Oak, SD) remain.
