2011 GT500 in action!

The glass roofs are awesome imo I drove one around in Arizona and wanted that bitch open all the time (There is a nice shade on them). The glass roof is more solid than the normal roof, so that has to mean something for rigidity.

What's the weight diff? Ice would be more rigid too, but I don't want that holding my roof together.

I don't know - I like the glass roof. I'm also happy to see they finally gave her what she deserves: projector HIDs. Small subtle upgrade like that and the suede-like shift boot make big difference in how nice a car looks and feels.

EDIT: Also don't like the stripes, and awesome info posted on the new engine. Removing 100+ lbs from the bay will do A LOT for handling as well so I look forward to seeing how this competes vs the vette / SS Camero on a track let alone anything else near its price point.

I think the roof is dope. I'm just wondering if it's the best choice for an all out performance machine.

glass roof is a 24lb weight penalty, but the chassis rigidity is increased giving no difference in performance

you also save about 100lbs with the new block, so you end up about 75lbs lighter with an 11 glass roof

Saw this car in person in the AAI lobby. The stripes are TERRIBLE!!!! We ordered ours in Black, because that is the only color that you can get without stripes with the performance package.

FYI, if you get the chance to go on an AAI plant tour, skip it. It's pretty boring and alot of walking.

I liked the 1-2 shift from a dig that was sweet, sounds good too. Stripes really do kill it. -stripes and +window tint it would look nice.

where do you guys think that was filmed? The oval track at the proving grounds in dearborn, or the one in romeo, or am I way off on this one?
