What do those teams have the MSU doesnt? BCS game appearences!!!!!

I won't argue that. Many have bitched about OSU screwing MSU last year out of a Rose or a Sugar Bowl birth. And while that may be true, it's nothing that MSU can control. Always next year. Easier schedule, Wisconsin will be less than they were this year, OSU has a post season ban, and none of the other teams will be an issue at Indy. MSU has 9 or 10 players on defense returning pending Worthy's decision to apply for the draft (I think he's leaving, hope I'm wrong). I expect a return trip to Indy and a Rose Bowl trip.

Most teams that have done this have done it this decade, especially since schedules were set at 12 games and most conferences added a championship game. Without going back that far, I'd bet that Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Miami and possibly FSU did it this decade.

Texas alone has done it 3 times since 2001. That's technically just outside this decade. If you want to be technical and say since 2002, they have done it twice.

Let's not get started on MSU's bowl appearances. They would need to win the next 6 bowl game appearances to hit .500 for a w/l record. MSU has only won back to back bowl games twice in its history. 2000\2001 and 1989/1990.

Michigan is also below .500 in bowl games...

I hate to say this, but Michigan will be the team to beat next year. And watch OSU play spoiler to alot of teams.

Not based on this year. They didn't beat anyone. MSU will smack them down again. Gholston will spent a nice October afternoon twisting Shoelace and his helmet into the ground. The hardest game on the schedule will be Boise State.

Michigan will get better. I agree they didnt play anyone this year but they will be solid. I hope im wrong but thats how I see it playing out.

how will Boise be next year without Kellen Moore?

Exactly, and still the toughest game on MSU's schedule... LOL! All of the hard games at home, Wisconsin in Madison without Wilson or Ball, UM in Ann Arbor (and it won't matter). MSU gets Notre Dame, OSU, Nebraska, Iowa and Northwestern at home. And DeAnthony Arnette will look great wearing Green and White.

All those 'tough' games they played at home will be on the road. Alabama, Notre Dame, Nebraska and Ohio State on the road. They get MSU at home for the 5th straight a$$ kicking. So 7-5 if they are lucky.

Oh, one other thing I heard today. The B1G is floating around the idea of moving the Ohio State/Michigan game to October so that they won't meet week to week if Michigan somehow makes the Championship game. Who would they close their season with? Michigan State...

I'm not sure I like this. While I don't certainly don't want Indiana at the end of the year, I'd at least like someone competitive....Like Northwestern.

damn, with osu having an off year, my post count is really starting to suffer...... hopefully the bucks will be more formidable next year. msu and um should be great games...

Did M. Ball declare for the draft?
