2009 Corvette ZR-1 - Complete New Car Prep

Can't believe how much blue is in that grey. Looks sweet. Nice job on the detail. You must have worked your ass off that day and slept for hours that night!

 i think just about every cleaning product smells good. Wizards stuff all smells really good
man, I might have to have you get me some mist and shine. I am almost out. I wipe the boat down with it every time it comes out of the water

Dave, you're the definition of an over achiever when it comes to detailing!!

The car drives damn near as good as it looks!!

Beautiful job. Is the new owner planning on driving that car once the weather breaks or is the car doomed to hide forever in a garage under a tarp? :(

I think there is over 2000 miles on it already! I think I put 40 on myself. :)

Holy detail job there! I am a huge Zaino fan myself. It is all I used on my car until Matt just detailed it for Autorama. Speaking of which, I am running out of some stuff. Might have to make an order this year.... Definitely can't beat the longevity of it though. My car looked great and I hadn't added another polish coat in something like 2 years. My old waxes would fade after a month or so and need attention.

Nice work :D

It is my understanding they are all trailered to the buyers home and never hit the dealership?
They have to go to the dealer Joe. The CF lower parts all need to be installed (front splitter and side skirts). As well as the brake cooling deflectors on the control arms. All that stuff is installed at the dealer so it doesn't get damaged prior to delivery.

Zaino rules :D

Thanks for clearing that up Tony, I saw you on WB M59 about 4PM today, you working at the Tech Center or off today?

damn thats a hell of a detail job. very ncie work. i have to say that color on that car is just beautiful. that color just works. x2 on not letting anyone at cauley do any prep on the car.

Nice work there Dave.

Hey Rich! How is everything? Doing much detailing in AZ?

damm is that like a $1,000 detail?

very nice... how much would something like that cost and how long did it take

That's usually the starting point, give or take a few hundred... Most of the vehicles I do require moderate paint correction and usually take 20-30 hrs.

Ahhh Wizards - I remember them being sold through Vesco(CARBRITE). Lots of silicone fillers.

Thanks, tons of blue flake for sure. It's the nicest metallic I've ever seen. This car took about 12 hours and I would have loved to spend about 6 more....

I bet that car's an animal - I hope it drives better than it looks for all that money. HaHa. Had fun that night. Especially watching that girl bar fight. Funny how I did all the work that day and Brian fell asleep 1st.

Thanks! I've heard about all the scratches their Detailers put in their Ferrari's, imagine what they'd do to the carbon fiber top & the hood engine window on this car!!

Phenomenal work. I have yet to try Zaino. Still using Meguiars products (Which are great in my opinion), but maybe one day I'll take the leap.
