2009 3 Balls Racing Open Track Schedule

Moneypit should ask the SyTY guys...

anyone here play with the SRT10 Trucks.

Reiko could have a hotdog stand selling brake pads :)

Just as a FYI, Gingerman has changed the track layout slightly:

Wow! http://www.mlive.com/news/kzgazette/hometownwest/index.ssf?/base/news-2/1227018011154990.xml&coll=7

An expansion project at GingerMan is under way and will extend a straight-away from about a quarter-mile to a half-mile in length. It will be the first expansion of the twisty 1.9-mile sports-car and motorcycle road racing track he constructed in 1995. The extra 1,700 feet of racetrack will allow a typical Chevy Corvette Z06 to increase its top speed from about 120 mph on the current track to almost 170 mph, Schnitta said.

how bad is an auto on the track?

if you have a trans cooler you can do it. The Tbird is an auto, sometimes you need to tell it what gear to hold but it can be done and you can be fast. But obviously its not the preferred method but don’t be deterred!!!

The Lightning is an auto on the column so you really can't manually go through the gears effectively even, which is a little annoying driving out of a turnbut it still works.

DOh!/......I drove by there a few weeks ago and it looked like the final grade was done and it was ready for paving.....Apparantly they will hold off until the fall to finish the job :(

Nice!

I do wonder what that means for the runoff at the end of the straight. If you run the track in its normal clockwise fashion, I'm not so sure the runoff is adequate there as it sits. Do we really want to have cars slowing to enter the pits at the end of a 170mph straight? They might be addressing these issues already i'm just thinking out loud.

very valid concern!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wondered about that when I saw it too, didn't seem like the greatest plan. Maybe they to plan on going the other way with it?

They will have to do something as I know of at least one Mustang that made it almost all the way through the sand trap as is. I can't imagine going that much faster with the same amount of runoff. Definitely not safe, and imagine a newbie trying to make the corner and ending up taking a header into the armco!
