Well since we are kinda bashing anyways. I was interested in this but KBB says Retail in excellent condition is just over $10k. Just because insurance says Total Loss doesn't me salvage. It just means that the insurance company wrote off the car. The owner always has the option of keeping the car and fixing it. Usually they figure what it will bring at the insurance auction and just take it off the payout. It retains a clear title with that Total loss mark on the carfax. I believe you can still get full coverage on this one.

Correct. It could have been something as simple as having the factory wheels stolen off of the car. Factory wheels = cost more to replace then a certain percentage of the vehicle's value. Thus, it's written off. I've seen sport bikes written off over a garage tip-over because a little scratch in the frame/tank + expensive fairings = too much to replace vs the value of the bike

So instead of everyone making false salvage claims, I have the Carfax in front of me at the moment. In 2013 the car hit an animal, replaced passenger side fender, front fascia and both air bags. So please keep going on about how the car is Salvage, nice job being an ass trying to get someone to lower price because your a cheap ass

I've had the nada pulled up and it shows clean retail $14100.. when I got the loan on the car it blue booked for $13800...

Funny when assholes try to run a free carfax and don't post the details. Nice job trying to ruin my credability and his ability to sell the car, topnotch job douchebag

http://www.naaa.com/standards/Salvage_vs_Total_Loss_Overview.pdf I'm wondering if it was fixed in a state the doesn't issue a salvage type title and being titled here got it a green title. Total loss is the insurance company paid out and this vehicle was repaired.

"In some instances, total loss thresholds may vary by state. Examples can be significant collision damage, mechanical defects, biohazard, flood and structural damage.
Once totaled by the insurance company, the vehicle may or may not get repaired. If repaired, most states will brand the vehicle’s title to reflect the vehicle’s new status. "

Interesting stuff.........

This is all very interesting but I can assure you that I have a green title. This car runs and drives excellent. Still books at 14k so anyone can get financed through their establishment if need be. I have no issue what so ever with someone test driving the car and putting it on my hoist so they can check it out if need be.
