This is my fiance's old car. She just got a lease and no longer drives it.
It has 87k and had the headgasket and timing belt done around 1000 miles ago. I also put a new battery in it a week ago. It's an automatic.
The good:
-Clean interior
-Reliable (bought it with 60k on it 3-4 years ago)
-Great MPG
The bad:
-Slight damage to passenger side rear bumper from when she ran it into my other car (my fault, according to her...) - see pics
-I am currently figuring out why it's all of a sudden running hot. The symptoms so far are that it gets hot under load and the heat actually blows cold air so there's something amiss in the coolant system (radiator gets hot, fan turns on). Hopefully it's not another blown headgasket but I will check for that now that it's back at the shop.
Update: Added 1/2 gallon of coolant and heater works and car won't go beyond the 1/2 temperature mark. Not sure if it's burning coolant or if it was just a little low all along. I'm going to drive it around this weekend and see if it maintains the current level and continues to run at the right temp. I have one of these coming on Wed: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007ZDRUI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to check for head gasket leak.
KBB says $3100 to $4000 but with the slight damage and other potential issues, she's only looking for $2000/obo. In the meantime, I'll continue diagnosing it and adjust the price accordingly (probably not down since I've already reflected some of the potential negatives that might be easy fixes in the asking price).
