I had a 91 mustang that was titled as a 94. It was an assembled title since the drivetrain was stolen and replaced with a new 94 unit.

Is there a tag in the door that matches the vin on the dash? It does sound kind of shady. There is only one person that I know of that would go through those lengths to do a clone and he only does it to mustangs(Rickety).

I welcome anyone to come look at my home police officer or otherwise Im not a shady person the car was purchased as it sits as a ws6 clone from a fellow board member in august of 2007

How about pics of the vin tag not only on the dash, but on the driver's door? Also, isn't the vin stamped somewhere in the trunk as well on these cars? I'd have to pull out my auto theft books to be sure, haven't had alot of experience with these cars......

All I wanna see is the VIN tags before I waste my time driving out there to look at a car that isn't worth my time. If you've got nothing to hide, prove it!

It's not going out of the way, if I was selling a car that people were doubting the validity of, I would sure as hell do whatever it would take to prove myself right....I'd like to atleast have the VIN so I can run a carfax.....and seeing that the VIN matches on the door and the dash plate is a big plus....
