Like the title states, I have a 2001 jeep with the 4.0 and i replaced the thermostat and the water pump and it is still over heating. I have checked all of the hoses. No leaks, but when I took the radiator cap off and started the jeep it was blowing coolant out of the radiator. Any thoughts?

I had it running for about 5 minutes and it was blowing out coolant, the heat kicks in and out. I have a feeling it might be the head gasket.

pull the heater hose off the thermostat housing and fill it till coolant comes out, lets try to eliminate an air pocket

very common for those to blow head gaskets. That year its also common for the head to crack on the top between the center cylinders. I work in a machine shop and see alot of these come in.

What he said I work at a dealership and see this all the time you can sometimes see the crack through the oil fill cap depending on how clean or dirty your engine is
