2001 jeep grand Cherokee Trans

The Trans doesn't want to shift past 3rd gear. Any clue?? I've heard about Trans solenoid going bad in these. Just looking for a little help. Hoping I don't have to replace it

Scan it for dtc's and post them up.

i have an 06 with codes p0734 and p0733. cant go faster than 25-30

P0733 Incorrect 3rd gear ratio , p0734 incorrect 4th gear ratio

I'd look into the speed sensors, easiest with a decent scan tool

all i have is a code puller for now....she paid us to put a trans in it but id rather save the customer money if i can help it. maybe i can find one to borrow... thanks
