Here's the story. My nephew back in Ohio replaced a rear brake line (a steel one) on his Camaro. When he started it to pull it off of the ramps he told me that it was running real rough and then popped and stalled. Now it wont start. He can hear the fuel pump prime the system. He tried to get it going on starting fluid and nothing. He says that there's no spark. He checked a couple different coil packs. He hooked a scanner up, no codes.

He's VERY limited on car knowledge and I'm out here, so I can't even look at it. Any ideas?

i know it was common for the ign module(under the coil packs) to go bad on older 3800's, not sure if its a common problem on newer ones though

x2 when i worked at murrays it was a common problem if it rains out of state the modules would malfunction take them in to get tested first off its free

umm, did he pinch up the fuel lines pulling it off the ramps ? tell him to put on a fuel pressure gauge and collect some data

if the injectors are pulsing on crank then its not a crank sensor, to rule that out... did he check the wires with a plug in them or just try and ground it out to the body?

also i have seen the module under the coils go bad, i think they can corrode and they might be grounded by the bolts. cant remember for sure tho..
