2000 ram 4x4 help

is there a fuse or relay for the 4wd on the 2000 rams? its a 1500 and when we pull the t case back into 4hi, nothing is happening. it went into 4wd 1 time for about 2 secs and then nothing. any help would be fantastic:cheers:

its the axle acuator working?

not sure, i havent really looked too far into it. where it that located? im lost on these trucks

just wiggle it then it goes in.

my old ram truck did the same exact thing.


its a common problem in those. its the shifter that sux

check the vaccum lines, mine was against the exhaust and had a hole. simple fix

+1 on the vacuum lines. If for some reason you decide to remove the actuator from the axle tube, have a drill and tap on hand, along with new bolts, because they tend to break off in the housing.
