Wifes car been well maintained etc etc.

Got in it last night the transaxle light is flashing and the car won't shift out of first. Fluid level is fine and
looks good.
I've read all kinds of horror stories about these transmissions, pumps, torque convertors.

Do we have a trusted trans guy on the board you can reccomend?

Thanks
Kevin

could be anything. First thing to do is check codes and see why it is stuck in first gear. Could be the connector.

Codes thrown
PO743 Torque converter clutch circuit
P0750,P0755,P0760 Shift solenoids A, B, and C
The Haynes is useless. About to start a search. I am not familiar with FWD Auto transmissions if any one can
shed any light?
Thanks
Kevin

Sound like no power.
Check fuses and the relay. Swap out the relay with another one in the box.
If you still have the same problem, go to the connector on top of the trans, (i think its a white plug 1" by 1/2" in size, 2" tall, ) just behind the top 2 bell housing bolts to the engine, you may have to pull the air box or other crap to get to it. it has a lock tab you squeeze to release.
You will need power at at least one pin. I cannot pull up a wiring schematic @ home to show you which pin (theres something like 9 pins)
Use a led test light, not one with a bulb.
I tried to goggle some pictures with out any luck...I will try to find one later.

Relays fine fuse blown. Everything seems to be operating properly during a test drive. I'll do a wiring/connector inspection after cooling off.
Need to find out why the fuse blew.
Thanks for the help.

Usually internal harness fialure inside the trans. Sometimes the EPC selenoid will short out internally and cuase this to. Might want to buy a set of selenoids and a new case harness and a repair plug and just shotgun it. 9 outta 10 times the EPC pin is burned at the bulkhead connectors to when you get these types of fialures.
