2000 Firebird clutch install ?

Now this is on a V6 5 speed car and I installed a new disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing, had the flywheel resurfaced, and bleed the hydralic system. It shifts fine but it does grind the gears a little, am I missing something? Should I mityvac the hydralic system or just follow the recomended procedure again?

does it grind when putting in 1st or R from idle?
I would mity vac it. how much material was removed? a shim might be needed

It does gring R bad and it goes into the forward gears hard without grinding. I don't know exactly how much material was removed off the flywheel. This is the first clutch installed into this vehicle, Performance Machine on Utica rd. was the place we had it resurfaced at.

if the clutch was dragging it would want to roll on a level surface with the clutch pushed in and reving it up. But it does sound like the throw is off.

put it in first with the clutch down(level ground) rev it to like 4000 and see if the car moves

How much did you remove from the flywheel ? If you took more then 10 thousandths and you didn't get a shim for the flywheel you can wind up with disengaement issues.

I'd suggest rebleeding the system though first using the mityvac method. Usually takes about 20-30 minutes of pumping and bleeding with a new slave to get the clutch working correctly.

We rebleed the system and took our time bringing the pedal back up. All is good, no grinding in any gear. Thanks for the tech help guys, must have had a little bit of air left in it from the first round of bleeding! Lol.
