2000 4.3 Low Idle Issue.

My truck idles at 250-350 rpm once warm. Only codes thrown are due to the fuel cell, and a o2 sensor post cat.

I replaced the MAF today with a new one. The last owner de-screened it improperly and it ran like poo. Still has low idle, but is a most constant low idle and has a little more power.

Now, next step tomorrow is replace the cap and rotor and see if that helps any.

The truck has 46k on it, no after market engine parts minus an intake and a high output alt.. The idle screw is set all the way in to get the idle I have now. Also, this problem was before the fuel cell and pump. So, that eliminates that.

Any one have any clue as to what may cause this? I'm looking at the grounds tomorrow as well.

Make sure the IAC is working.. You can take it out and leave it plugged in it, the plunger should adjust when key'd up if it doesn't move or looks like ass change it.

Check for vacum leaks, though it should throw a bank x lean code but they dont allways...

No vac. leaks were heard at all when I was running over all the connections today. Also, there is non of the typical surge from a vacuum leak.
