2 No ET Vids of Gold Rush

gotta love pump gas i drove from 10mile 94 to telegraph, cruised for 2 hours, drove home on 8 mile, stopped at the local street racing spot race 2 times, got back to 9 an harper all on 12 gallons!!!

Its the best, i think i get pretty good gas mileage for it being a 3 speed too. I wish my car was lighter, it would be so much faster.

na not that much, only thing that weights alot in fbodys is the damn aftermarket rearend, im trying to get a camaro right now an just put the mustang up for sale so i can get a house....

True, your car rides out. But in my opinion nothing looks better than an f-body so hopefully you find a good one. What sucks about having a turbo is people are afraid to race it, my car is set up totally for the street..no bull shit, i'm sure if it was on race gas and tons of boost, methanol or whatever it could be something to be afraid of but right now its nothing but safe and made so i can drive it with no issues.

Yep a handful of BAMFs ruined it for the rest of us guys. Now anytime someone sees XX size turbo they assume it runs as fast as the fastest guy with that turbo and they ignore the fact that he spent tens of thousands of dollars changing every little part (converters, rear gears, boost controllers, tons of fine tuning on tune-up, tire pressure, suspension, etc) to get the combo to work perfectly plus he probably has a 50k class built race engine that needs valvesprings every 10 passes and has the best of everything to match. Oh well at least the realistic guys will still find a way to race and will know that not everyone maxes out every component on their car.

Well said, all i have on my car is rear adjustable shocks.. Right when people hear turbo and drag radials, "oh the record is 7.xx on drag radials and a turbo". lol. Maybe one day i'd love to have a track car that runs 8's/9's but right now i love the street car, just the other night i raced some Talon with a turbo and twin foggers and all 4 drag radials claiming its an "8 sec" car and had a fun time walking away from it. Then i had some kid with a viper, saying he doesn't race for pocket change cause his watch was worth 9k and blah blah..lol, it ended being a free race from a roll and i let him leave and walked away from him as well. I just don't have that much time for the tracks anymore.

Was the Talon purple? The style that isn't the newest but it's the first generation where it actually looked halfway decent (not the boxed in Laser looking ones).

Yeh he was up on WW and raced Lidio in his black car from both a dig and roll. Guess he stayed with Lid on the roll but had problems from a dig. I would guess it's a high 10-second ride but probably has the "potential" to go in the 9's. 8's seems a bit of a stretch unless he had it turned all the way down or something.

Yeah that's him..he was all upset he lost..he's like if i turn on the 2nd stage ill smoke you, i'm like should've turned it on..i didn't stop you and neither did anyone, you said the boost controller is in the cock pit..lol. All in all, a good run. He said he put busses on Lidio..lol

He got him by a few when Lidio shifted to neutral instead of 3rd on the highway pull (this was discussed in some other thread but I know Jay knows the details). Talon got smoked from a dig but had a list of excuses which actually made it a victory in his mind. lol!
