2-4" of SNOW expected Saturday

I was out driving today and northern Oakland county and Lapeer county, I-69, they have all already been salt brined. Thought the roads looked wet-ish. Sure enough, salt brine. Took the scat pack on one too many rides, but who'd have thought they would have everything salted this afternoon. Salt residue on edges of tires, etc.

I guess it's time to pull the snowblower out of the shed and make sure that it runs. If not, Costco has a sweet looking dual stage that I'll have to go grab. If I come home with that we can pretty much guarantee that we have a mild winter.

It fired up on the 3rd pull and ran fine so it's ready to go. Bring it on! (No, not really.)

They brined the roads here in Farmington yesterday so they're prepping for it. Rexroth just said 2-3" for most of the metro area with less in the city and south.

Pieces of crap were salting/brine i75 near exit 81 and all up and down 24/Lapeer at 6am today. These people always look for any excuse to throw this crap on our roads. Oh and also just barely enough snow to call it snow is stuck to the grass.

Most of it was brined yesterday afternoon already.

These weather morons don't have a clue. First I read 2-4", then 1-3", then nothing, now there's supposed to be 4" coming again. I check 3 different sites regularly, too. I could do their job, no fucking problem. I'd likely be just as 'accurate,' too.

Edit - back to 1-2", here. 2-4" is now on Monday. Derp.

Many years ago I was looking for "low-stress jobs". Meteorologist was number one. It's the only job out there where you NEVER have to be right. People expect you to be wrong. As low stress as it gets.

That's because it ISN'T a real job. Haha.

I had enough to warrant firing up the tractor and pushing it, but probably only an inch. We'll see what today brings
