I was never told he didn't want to sell the car. It ended with him backing out on our deal for the family member. I was done with him at that point.
It was the biggest dick move I've had happen when buying a car. I would have felt a little different about it, if it was while I was saving up. He didn't pull that shit until I told him I had the money and wanted to come get it.
Oh well he still has the car, and its his to do what ever he wants.
