1998 Silver Camaro Z28(new price, updated description)

i've been working ridiculous hours lately(15 12 hour days in a row, and counting), so i haven't had much time to put into getting the car sold......once i get the new lca reloc. brackets in and get the interior cleaned i'll pry put the car in autotrader and maybe take it to some cruises.....in the meantime i'll still show it to anyone who is interested....

thanks
josh

i got the relocation brackets in today, man that new miller i got is freaking sweet! took it out for a quick ride and found an industrial drive and had some fun, the rear suspension is good to go!!!

i was gonna put it in autotrader and be aggressive about getting it sold, but i think i've changed my mind. i might take it to mount clemens saturday and to the dream cruise with a for sale sign, and if anyone here wants to make a reasonable offer(maybe partial trade but at least 4k cash) i'll consider it. other than that, i'm happy with keeping it at this point, i'll be putting some miles on it for sure.

I sooooo would have bought this car a month ago!!!!!maybe i can sell mine real fast, i like silver better than the green one i bought :(!!!!

Hey smooth,

I wasn't even planning on trying to sell this until it warmed up, but I saw that "wanted" thread and figured I'd post it up.

I can't remember how much I updated this thread. The car has a new battery, a heavy duty aluminum driveshaft, and qa1 12 way adjustable springs now. I shortened the torque arm so it fits better with the moser 9", but when I put it away for the winter I still hadn't figured out the wheel hop issue I sometimes have. Everything on the rear suspension is adjustable, I've just got to get it to someone who know what they are doing to set it up.

I'm also a little more willing to look at trades now, my truck lease is up and I need something to replace it. Something I can drive year round but gets better than the ram's 12-14mpg. Maybe a wrangler or a diesel.

So this thing dips down into the 11's?

Not yet, at least officially. It ran a 12.2 @ 111 or 112(1.64 60') with the shift points wrong, it bumped the limiter 3 times going into second and twice going into third. But since then I put the 9" in it, which robs a little power. I did some other things that I hope will compensate for that(taller gears, lighter suspension parts, better suspension parts), but when I went last fall I couldn't get a clean launch.

The car is fun, but I've got the buick still on jackstands and I get more enjoyment welding than I do playing with the car. I bought it thinking I'd drive it and work on the buick, but I can't stop spending time and money on it cuz it's so easy to do.

I guess I'll bump this thread.

I wasn't planning on pushing it much untill it warms up, but I've had a couple guys ask about it the last couple of weeks. It's asleep for the winter, but I'll uncover it and fire it up if anyone wants to check it out. It won't be on the road until the back alley clears up.

Two issues that I don't think I've mentioned in this thread yet:

1.) It's got a wheel hop issue I haven't figured out yet. Everything suspension- wise is there, I'm guessing someone with some f-body experience will be able to sort it out(I put it all together, but I'm no guru:)). If you want to take it on I'll be flexable with the price, otherwise I'll get it taken care of when the weather breaks.

2.) The tensioner seems to be squealing. I'm guessing it needs a new tensioner, I can probably take care of that too.

My buddy's mom was asking me if we were going on the Power Tour again this year, and I started thinking "man, I should just keep it." But I shouldn't, so I someone buy it from me:)

I just changed the 9" fluid(no small feat on this car) and replaced the belt and belt tensioner. I put insurance on it just now and took it for a ride, it's a little wet out so I couldn't really get on it to see if my suspension adjustments helped at all with the hop.

I've been messing with this all week when I should be working on other stuff, if you make me an offer that's in the vicinity of the ballpark right now I'd pry take it. I keep waffling on selling it, but I really should be concentrating on other things. Make me sell it!!!:gr_jest:

8,500 for this car right now. The rear end alone would cost you at least 2300 to duplicate.

I need to add the pics again, my stupid website host screwed up my site.

Dammit, I would have bought it for that when we discussed it :)

Now I already did all that to another one lol...this is a good deal.

Yeah, my bad:)

You know how it is, going back and forth:gr_jest: I've got a lot more on my plate now than I did then, and it's pry best if I let it go now.

I've updated the first post.

about trades:

I need to upgrade my wife's vehicle. I've been thinking about a '00 and up BMW 3 series or Audi. Preferably it would have less than 80k, would be black white or silver, and an auto. Some type of "classy" 4 dr sedan. I'd be willing to add cash for the right car.

I'm also gonna need another truck soon, but I want a cheap one. 12mpg in my ram is killing me, I'm probably gonna drive her old car but I'll still need a truck occasionally. Something cheap plus cash I'd think about.
