1996 Mercury cougar XR7 - $1200

Anyone looking for a beater, or a car for a teenager etc? I'm selling my 96 Cougar - 3.8L v6 with 158,000 miles. Viper auto-start, K&N intake, Alpine head unit.

Runs and drives fine so far it seems, air works, heat works so on so forth. The engine was replaced by ford under extended warranty in 2001 or so when it had 80k miles or there about. My brother has been driving it for the past couple years, but he bought a new car, and I certainly don't need another car taking up space.

Wow. Too bad you didn't list this car last weekend. I just bought a car for my rotten brat 16 year-old. I would have rather got him this. I loved my 93 Tbird. And your car is a whole lot cheaper than the Explorer I ended up buying him...

Stock suspension was not holding up well, so I actually installed Eibach lowering springs and Monroe or KYB shocks, I put them on new 2 years ago I think. I can't 100% remember which shocks I ended up going with though.
