I have a 95 Thunderbird LX with a 4.6L and Automatic transmission. I am having a problem with it idling, what happens is that when you first start the car it will not idle, but will run if you hold the throttle down and keep it at about a 1,000 RPM. Once you let up on the throttle it will die out, unless you keep it held to a 1,000 RPM for about 2-5 minutes and then it will idle fine. I have not had to much time to look at it but I haven't seen anything that it out of the ordinary that would seem to cause this issue. Also if you floor it while it is in gear it will bog down at about 2,500 RPM and not accelerate any more, and run rough. I am not sure if that is related or not but, I have no idea on where to go next with trying to figure out what is causing these issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
