I have a 94 Z and wanted to know if there is a way to put some more timing in this thing, I have heard of people putting some kind of resistor in the ATS or something like that, any truth to be told?

and the AIT (IAT) resistor trick offers no real benefit(might help for a couple minutes, until the PCM notices it isn't changing)

these guys have it right. the factory timing is just about perfect. in fact its plenty aggressive for a bolt on z. do the good mods (cold air, headers, exhaust) and all the overlooked maintenance things and you will be happy.

With extra timing you might need to run higher octane fuel. Extra timing will help in some ways & not in some other. You can try getting a program that they call "LT1 Edit". Not sure where to get it. I can find out for you. PM me & I can let you get in touch with someone that does programming for LT1's. He is a "Guru". Or I can find out where you can get the programming.
