1990 Mustang...

that looks killer in person. rich did a badass job on it. definatly cool for sure. cant wait to see it painted. then it will all start to come together. i hated my car till it got painted.
 
The front is all done now basically... Just needs a few more things and it's done...

Cut some of the upper sheet metal and boxed it in...


Here's some better shots on how the factory trunk was cut up and welded into place...


Then there was a plate that was welded to the underside of the trunk to fill the gap...


Then took the fiberglass deck lid and cut it up to fit it for the trunk...


Front of the car fully done...


Inside of the area where the core support and front bumper supports would be...


Front bumper removed...


Fender support brackets and bumper support brackets...


Whole front clip removed...


Cut the factory fender on the back side so it's easier to put the front clip on...

i suggest some support for the lower part of that bumper cover.

it moves in... and with enough force to bend 1.5" wide by 1/8th thick bracing.

More bracing is going to be added once the hot and cold side is done up front...
 
Will the fenders, nose and hood all "tilt" forward with the way thats set-up? Looks like you could swing it all forward without removing, if so killer idea.

That things is coming together and its crazy cool at that!
 
Dude Derrick, enough with the ideas! I dont need him sending it back to PRE. I need this car to go 7.99 buy Oct 31st 2011....

I'm ready to start encouraging him to skip paint, run the damn number and Ill strip the car back down for him.

That idea was tossed around but can't be done due to the bumper smacking turbo headers and all sorts of accessories up front...
