1990 Mustang...

First of all huge thanks to LT1Pat for the kickass job he is doing and teaching me a long the way...

Finished the number 3 and 4 cylinder primary last night...

Number 3...

Number 4...

Hugging the strut tower...

Tomorrow finish up welding the headers and collectors on the passenger side...

Reiko is that stainless??? if it is you better do something to the inside, It's supposed to be back purged with argon to stop sugaring, if one of those little balls breaks off during a pass you'll eat your turbo!

Yes it's stainless... Before the welding we use a special chemical compound and spread it on the inside of the ends... Prevents those little balls...

So this car will have no balls?

Looks great, awesome job. You have some great guys on your team to be helping you like this and you appear to be doing much of the work yourself. I bet you are now a wealth of knowledge. Does that mean your parts store will have a race shop in the near future ;)

Correct... NO balls... T-too small Turbo.... Pat has been a huge factor in all this... If it wasn't for him... My car would still be under 6inches of dust...

That's correct, I've used solar flux for years and it works much better than back purging. The backside of the weld is as smooth as glass.

Well since you are "learning". I see it only fitting that you cut and weld the driver side header. Just so pat knows you have been paying attention.
