1988 Mustang LX Highly Modified Street Machine

I am putting my 1988 Mustang up for sale. I have been driving and modifying for the past 7 years. I am the third owner and this Mustang has been garage kept its entire life. The pictures on here do not do it justice. It has never been raced or even taken to the drag strip, but I know that this car is capable of high to mid 11's as it sits. All of the modifications have been done right and nothing on this Fox Mustang hacked. I have about 2000 miles on the motor since I built it. The Mustang has 52XXX miles on the chassis, but still in excellent condition. Very long list of modifications, but very reliable and most of all fun!

It is a head turner, you do not see Fox Mustangs in this type of condition. Never seen salt or winter weather! NO RUST!

All of the chassis welding modifications was completed by Al Scruggs and Slim's Hot Rod Shop.

The motor is setup is N/A but is setup for boost. This car could run mid to low 10's with a mild supercharger setup, but is very quick and a head turner as it sits. Engine was blueprinted, by me, and I have a spreadsheet with the data.

Not trying to be too negative, but I've heard of people having over 25 into a car and selling for 10, but not more than what you have into it. I agree with 5.0kid, the market is tough and you will probably be lucky to get half of that asking price. There are many cars on here that are way more modified in amazing condition for 15 or less. If your really wanting to sell I would rethink your asking price a little, trust me, I know people are gonna low ball you, but be reasonable with the initial asking price.

You can not post an asking price like that and expect to be taken seriously. If this thread is you "selling" your car to appease a wife, then you are forgiven. If this is a serious attempt to sell, you are trying to sell it to the wrong crowd.

Ok thanks for the compliments and for those of you who steered me in the right direction. I'm not sure what the market is for buying and selling modded cars. So I apologize, this is my first modded car sale.

For those of you who were nice about it and helpful thanks.

Did a bunch of research price drop to 19k. Guess I was way too optomistic with my first price.

Thanks, Matt

Not trying to be a jerk, but to be honest, if you really want to sell it. Youre gonna need to start around 11k and see if you even have any interest there. The problem you will find is that the blue book on a Non Cobra is going to be about 4k. And nobody will find a bank to give them a loan for 19k for a 23 year old car. I just parted out my 89 notchback because even with a turbocharged ls1, I didnt get any bites at $9k

Thanks for the advice and you make a good point. Didn't think about KBB because its so modded.

Adjusted the price again....
