I'm thinking about it. Unfortunately, I'm already $2500+ well past what you're asking for the BMW in it and just perpetually going back and forth over whether I want to keep it or not.
Right now, it's driveable- I've been DDing it 250 miles a week for the past 3 months and it's never left me down, but it inhales oil like it's going out of style (original 305 2bbl, spent $200 on having someone else rebuild the carb before I finally had the bright idea of pulling the 200 mile old plugs to discover that it was oil fouling #3 and #5). I've already got $1200 worth of aftermarket suspension pieces for it. The Camaro was bought for parts- it has a '74 4-bolt main 350 with LT-1 rods and 10:5 forged pistons, Dart Sportsman II heads, T-5, 3.23 posi rear with discs. The Impala also has all new brake lines and fuel lines, a rust free southern gas tank, GTA mesh wheels, upgraded front brakes to 3rd gen F-body 12"ers with EBC green pads, etc. It's got rust at the bottom of the quarters and doors, I have a cleaner driver's side door but haven't found a passenger side one, it's got a small hole in the driver's floor where you never put your feet and a strange L-shaped rust hole on the rear passenger floor. I have patches for the quarters and floors I sawzall'd out of another clean southern '78 Impala. I'm also hoarding a T-56 I intended to install originally. The suspension stuff are massive Hotchkiss hollow swaybars with poly bushings, Hotchkiss springs, and Bilstein sport shocks, and some boxed rear LCAs on the way because the Hotchkiss bar will rip itself out of factory LCAs if you wail on it enough.
I'm at a point where I'm not sure if I want to keep going, or get out so I can chase after the '71-'74 Celica I really want. I've driven a few E30s and liked them as well, and being an IX my interest is perked.
Here's a small handful of pictures of the Impala. I haven't taken many of it, for whatever reason.
