1986 Mustang Vert! New street car coming soon..

Looks like a sweet setup Ryan. Had an itch for years to do something w/ an LS motor. TH400 for cost vs OD or won't see anything more than around town anyway?

I doubt the car is going to sell, so once I get back from my next road trip I am going to move full pace on this. I dont think its going to be white. I am going to go with black!

I got bored and picked up some supplies today. The initial body work is almost complete. Im gonna hang the doors back on tomorrow and hopefully prime and block the car out friday, then one more coat of primer and wet sand. pics arent in any order.

Ok, made some more progress today. Gonna finish up the front nose tonight and prime and block tomorrow. I stuck the front end back once since I have very little room to store the parts and its much easier to work on. I will have to sand the doors(maybe tomorrow) they are rust free and very straight. But I need to gut some shit out of them!

What kind of body filler are you using ?

It looks like Metal glaze or "Icing", definately looks like a polyester filler

Looking good, did you pick up some prime yet? I have a few really nice long boards you can borrow whenever your ready to block it out

I blocked out about 90% of the car with 320 today, came out really nice! I am going to finish the front cover and passenger fender tomorrow and prime again, then wetsand and the shell should be ready for paint! I have a few small spots to touch up but nothing major at all.

Looks good Ryan. That thing will be together in no time. You inspired me to get off my ass and do some work on mine last night.

Ok, I reprimed the car today and started wetsand with 400. I'm pretty stoaked on how straight the car cam out. I fixed alot of door dings. Its gonna look killer in black!! Although, ragetta blue is still in the running for the color.
