I have a 1984 SVO with 86,000 original miles on it that I am doing some work on for a friend of mine so we can sell it. The car is imaculate condition but it has been repainted. The rest of car is all original. Question is the car wants to idle rough and stall and then when you drive it it does not seem to run right, the turbo seems to spool to quickly under normal driving and when it does it pegs the boost guage and the boost light comes on. the car has been sitting for along time and my friend has put all new belts and dual exaust and alternater and he had someone else put a valve cover gasket and I wonder if they could have put something back together wrong when they did that cause they took intercooler off and stuff with the turbo. What are your thoughts. Need to get running good so we can sell it. Very nice car.
