I'm the third owner of this truck, bought it a few years ago to make it a daily driver. I bought it off of the original owner's son who inherited it in the early '90s. The son is retired and used the truck to tow a fishing boat a mile down the road to his local fishing pond. He had some paint work done and installed a aftermarket radio at some point, but for the most part he kept it stock.

I used the truck as a daily driver for about a year until the motor blew while I was on my way home from work. The had started burning oil a couple weeks before it happened, so it really wasn't much of a shocker. I intended to replace the 400 with another, but decided to do a 460 swap. I had planned on keeping the truck as a fun toy to cruise around in.

Exterior is all stock, misc dents scratches. Rust bubbling up by fuel door, and on tailgate. It's been in Michigan it's whole life (Battle Creek area) so the underneath it's got rust.

Everything
Bought the motor from a diesel mechanic, who seemed fairly competent.
460 cubic inches
Block from '74 Lincoln Continental
Rebuilt with basic stock replacement pistons
Heads are rebuilt C8VE (Thunderjet)
~10.5 compression, runs on 93 octane
Edelbrock Performer Intake
Edelbrock 1460 carb electric choke
L&L Headers
L&L Swap motor mounts
New "Super Cooling" Radiator, Shroud, Hoses, Flex-a-lite fan
New A1Cardone Saginaw pump, custom bracket, hoses
New Battery
New aluminized steel dual exhaust with hooker competition mufflers (quiet, no drone)
Newer starter and alternator
New trans cooling lines
Newer brakes (rotors, master cylinder)

The Bad:
Rusty Tailgate
Transmission leaks out front of bellhousing (pump seal or bushing?)
Radio currently isn't working
Carb needs to be tuned.
It takes a few seconds to start when it's been sitting for awhile. I think there might be an air leak from one of the clamps on the fuel line, forcing system to re-prime itself.
Rear tank has old gas in it, needs to be drained/cleaned in order to use.
Alternator squeaks occasionally

What a cool truck. That would be and awesome up north truck. Good luck with the sale.

Since I've owned this truck, no one has questioned my testicular fortitude, I've had a hankering for Necco wafers, and I've started watching re-runs of the Lawrence Welk Show...

Bump, back from the dead with a lower price. City of Royal Oak is going to fine me for having a vehicle sitting in my driveway without updated tags. Haven't started since September, battery is dead right now. Tailgate is off the truck, sitting in my garage. Have a new tailgate shell that will be included in the sale. Also included is a set of aluminum bullet hole wheels with 35" A/T tires. Will need to be put on a trailer. Looks pretty much the same as the pics above, but I will post some updated pics in the next couple days.
