1978 corvette?

my bro has a 78 vette that he needs some work done on. anybody know anybody that does work on vettes? he needs some work done on the rearend either the diff needs work or the bearings for the axle shafts. once you drive it and it heats up it starts making a grinding noise. any help? thanks jim

Is the Rear a Limited Slip or Posi? Does he have the right fluid in it?
