Throwing this out for a friend trying to sell his car. First, I'm fighting with Tinypic and am fed up tonight. I can email pics if anyone can help me post them here.

Car is located in Rochester Hills. Please take note...I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY THIS CAR!!!!

My friend got screwed BIG TIME purchasing this car. It was an ebay buy from New Jersey. He paid $20,000 for this car and it was totally misrepresented to the point of fraud. He bought it without seeing it in person so I guess shame on him. Personally I would never buy this car but throwing it out there for him in case someone wants a project. He is asking $14,000 but make an offer. He just wants to put this behind him and he has learned a big lesson.

Car looks decent from twenty feet or twenty miles an hour, but...it is a basket case!!! He does not want anyone to be mislead. It does run and drive. He was told it had a fresh $30,000 restoration, but it is complete butchery. It has to be seen to be believed I don't even want to go into trying to describe it. If anyone takes on this project it will be a long time sorting through the butchered bodywork. Interior and engine bay don't look bad. Seems to have decent wheels/tires and most trim but didn't look too close. Bodywork is horrible and floors are an absolute disaster. Also, frame may be shot, I felt nauseous at the butcher job and couldn't look any more. Also, despite the 'cuda tags it has a BH serial number so I believe it is just a regular barracuda.

I have four pics and can email them. Unfortunately he did not take pics of the underbody, but trust me, it is very, very bad.

AGAIN, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE BUY THIS CAR!!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your friends purchase.

I wish him the best on selling this to another person
for them to build it right.

FYI - you can always have a out of state car inspected
by having the car's owner take it to a local shop garage
that YOU pick and that YOU pay for an inspection report.
(and have the report sent directly to you)

Thanks Bill. He's kind of an impulsive guy and it definitely got the better of him this time. He's also very honest and has trouble believing that people do this kind of thing.

I think a really does suck that this happened to your friend. Isn't there anything that EBay/someone could do for false advertising. A good friend just got taken on a EBay purchase of a vehicle. There was no vehicle and they took the money.

My friend says that Ebay won't help because the vehicle is over ten years old.

BTW the car is on Craigslist now for $15,000. It's orange and looks good in the pics. Probably a good project for the right person.

good looking car its a shame it need redone.

Yep it's a 20 footer/20 mph car. The pics look pretty good but the floor/underbody and bodywork are bad. I believe it has a ton of dough in it, looks like it anyway. Quarters kind of wave at you, and the seams and body lines/edges are vague instead of sharp.
