1967 Ford Mustang Convertible

My second project car. Stock 289, 2v. Power steering, front disc brakes, factory tinted glass...oh yea, she's loaded compared to my first Stang. :specool:

Needs resto though, with trying to finish a degree...its slow going. Last summer I did a patch job on the floors (that nasty b word was used, yea...bondo...long story about how I ended up in that endeavor :dry:) that will be replaced when she gets painted next year (2009) and new carpet. On the agenda this summer are new front brakes (calipers seized up this past winter :dry:), new vert top (the one on it is canvas with a plastic rear window- so not stock. Got a nice 38oz pinpoint vinyl top with a tinted glass rear window-Ford white of course sitting in my bed room, lol). She'll also get a tune...new points, plugs, wires, carb rebuild....but thats about all I can afford this summer.

I'll have to post pics later, I guess they need resized....grr.

This is was before I replaced the carpet, repainted the floors & dash and got a dash bezel, tires & rims.

Thanks. My friend is a photographer. I had him come over and snap some pics of the 67 when I first bought it and still had my 68 coupe (I've got some sweet pics of both together). Those are from my side yard.

Very nice! My 68 had the turn signal hood, I might try to find another when I go to paint this one. Does your's have black carpet? Mine has green and its pretty much what I dislike most about it. My seats are diff and I have the center console. I love seeing other people's classics! Thanks for posting!
 
Looks good! I have a basket case 67' fastback we've been working on here and there. If you need some new disk brakes, let me know. I have a set that came with the car all refurbished ready to go (or so the guy said). Not sure what they're worth, but I'm not going to be using them.
 
Ahhh! Too little, too late. I just purchased new pads, rotars, stainless steel caliper transfer tubes & remaned calipers.

My Uncle has a 66 burgandy Fast Back Hi Po 289

Both bought brand new and turned into drag cars. Both still have them too.
 
yes it is black carpet in there. its very dirty but black. i like the roll up sport counsle. those are slick

I like the car too...lol I dont like how whenever we go anywhere evrybody asks me questions about it. lol it's HER car. great car none the less. especially with that new carpet...who helped you put that in shannon? lol ;-)
